Anu Varma Panchal – Associate Editor

Associate Editor Anu Varma Panchal has a master’s degrees in journalism and more than 15 years of experience writing and editing for newspapers and magazines in Illinois, Iowa and Florida. She has lived in Florida for more than 10 years, and enjoys raising her two daughters in Tampa Bay.

When Anu isn’t writing or editing for area publications, she’s busy driving her kids to all their music and dance activities. She volunteers regularly in her daughters’ schools and Parent Teacher Associations, and spent a wonderful two years immersed in local history as a volunteer in the Tampa Bay History Museum’s Collections department. Although her idea of the ultimate good time is usually found between the pages of a book, Anu also enjoys yoga, her book club, travel, theater and area food and music festivals.

Chris Kuhn

Chris Kuhn – Calendar and Neighborhood Stories

Chris Kuhn is a freelance writer and editor who has lived in the Bay area for over 20 years. She is also the author of THE MUSE UNLOCKED, a contemporary romance, and recently completed her latest book OUR SEASONS, a literary collection of short stories and poetry, available in November 2015. She previously served as editor for Skirt! Tampa Bay magazine and has written for various local print and online publications including The Tampa Tribune, Destination Tampa Bay and 83 Degrees. When she’s not working, Chris enjoys spending her free time visiting with family, discovering new local Thai restaurants, and exploring art, books, music, movies and museums.

Ralf Gonzalez – Account Executive

Originally from Miami, Ralf now lives in Wesley Chapel. He is a proud new father. He is excited to bring his knowledge of sales to the Tampa Bay Parenting team.

Kimberlee McCluskey – Book Keeper

Kimberlee is the managing member of Employee of the Month LLC., and although her company provides virtual services for legal & other professional offices around the Bay Area, she provides bookkeeping services in-house with Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine.

Dr. Jill Hechtman, MD

Dr. Jill Hechtman, MD – Ask the Doc

Jill Hechtman started her medical career at Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth Dominica. After medical school she started an anesthesiology residency in Chicago at RUSH University, where she met the love of her life, Dr. Jason Hechtman. After completing two years of Anesthesiology, Jill decided that she desired to be an OB/GYN, and transferred to Wayne State University for her four year residency in OB/GYN. After completion, both Jason and Jill moved to Tampa.

Since moving to Tampa, Jill has become the Medical Director of Tampa Obstetrics and is currently also serving as the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa. She is the past Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brandon Regional Hospital and served on the hospital’s Board of Trustees for 2 years. She is a frequent face in local media as “Dr. Jill” and is also answers reader questions as our Dr. Mom. Jill was also recently appointed as a member of the Florida House of Representatives Medicaid Low Income Pool Council. She is also featured in various videos about pregnancy, which can be found on her website under “Patient Education”. One of her proudest moments was the birth of her daughter.  The two of them share a common interest in horses.

Jennifer Burby

Jennifer Burby – Contributor

Jennifer Burby is a full time attorney at the Tampa office of a large Florida law firm. She is the blogger at The Champagne Supernova, and has received national acclaim as a writer for The Today Show blog and is routinely featured in The Huffington Post. When she’s not cranking out billable hours or writing, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Rachel Long

Rachel Long – Social Mom

I am a stay at home mom of three children. I have two girls, Lily age 4 and Sophie age 2 and we have a little boy. I have been married for 8 years to a wonderful man. I love spending time with my family and friends and taking advantage of all that Tampa Bay has to offer. Prior to having children I was an elementary school teacher for 8 years. Once my children are all in school I hope to return to the working world as a guidance counselor.

Lisa-Marie and her family are always ready for adventures! From outdoor activities to arts and cultural events, they’re happy to explore all of Tampa Bay’s offerings. Lisa-Marie serves as a member of the Try It Team for WTSP Channel 10 and is the original Mom Squad member for Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine.

Christina Sanders Fontana

Christina Sanders Fontana – Social Mom

Tampa native Christina Fontana, is a stay at home Mom to Mila born February of 2013. She met her husband in June of 2010 and they have been inseparable ever since. She loves to sing and currently serves as the Vocal Director at South Tampa Fellowship. Christina also volunteers her time as a “SERVE speaker” in Hillsborough County Schools and teaches the “Sex Education, STD training and Healthy Life Choices” portion of the required curriculum for High School Students. She also established her own 501C3 called “MyChoice Counts” in 2011, in an effort to fund the education she provides to the schools. In addition to having plenty of family time, Christina enjoys to work out, eat healthy, and invest her time and efforts into young people and the Junior League of Tampa. Peggy and her family are always ready for adventure. Whether they are traveling around the world or spending time in Tampa, they can always be found spending time together and having fun.

Ana is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and also writes reviews on shows and plays for Tampa Bay Parenting.
