Where to See Fireworks at Gasparilla Children’s Parade

Did you know there’s a whole day of exciting events during Children’s Gasparilla? While the parade is the star of the show, the grand finale, the Piratechnics Finale.

The Piratetechnics (“pirate” plus “pyrotechnics” – get it?) firework finale recreates the imaginary battle between the pirates of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and the City of Tampa. The annual “battle” began in 1904, with the pirates remaining undefeated until this day!

This colorful finale sets the scene for the energetic Gasparilla Pirate Fest taking place the following week, on January 28. If you’re planning on sticking around for the finale, here are a few tips to make the most of your evening.

How long does it last?

The Piratechnics fireworks show will begin at 7pm and end at 7:30pm.

Where’s the best viewing spot?

Your best bet is to stay put where you watched the parade to get the best view as the fireworks light up the sky.
