School is back in session, which means it is time to pick a great after school program. Rather then sending your kids home to an empty house, check out some of these amazing options that can keep your kids moving and get the motivated to learn new things.

Aquacamps

The Florida Aquarium offers an exciting after school program for children grades K-5th and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students will get to experience animal encounters, tour the aquarium, and when weather permits enjoy some fun in the sun at the Explore A Shore! Aquacamps run on the Hillsborough county school schedule and offer free early drop off and late pick up. The Centre for Girls
The Centre for Girls offers girls, ages 5-14, a stimulating after-school experience that won’t break the bank.  Girls can choose from a wide variety of arts and enrichment classes, including ceramics, painting, drawing, cooking, gardening, sewing, and crafts.  Our hours are Monday 2-6 p.m., TuesdayFriday 3-6 p.m. and girls have time for homework, snack and free-play before class starts at 4:30 p.m.  Classes are $10 per day.  Financial aid is available to those who qualify.   Please visit C4G’s website for more information and to register!

Child Care Resource and Referral (Early Learning Coalition)

This is a great resource offered by the Early Learning Coalition to help parents find after school child care. Contact the resource center via phone or email Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m- 4:45 p.m. The ELC of Hillsborough County also offers a variety of programs for Pre-K students. Corbett Preparatory School of IDS

Mary Jo’s studio will offer a twelve week session called Creative Movement for children of all ages (experience determines class placement).
