Heidi Colom is a librarian within the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Libraries. She received her Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida in 2005 and her specialist degree in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University in 2009. Her specialties are youth services, natural sciences librarianship and service to speakers of other languages. Colom is fluent in Spanish, English and French, and knowledgeable in German, Italian and Portuguese—some of which she has learned thanks to library materials. Colom has been with HCPLC since 2004. She is a vegetarian who exercises nearly every day.
