After graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design, she moved to Florida, where she taught kindergarten thru 12th grade art. She has worked with the Florida Department of Education to help write the Sunshine State Standards for art education. After receiving her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Media Design from Full Sail University, Erica began her career in marketing and graphic design for various industries in Tampa Bay. Her greatest achievement is being a mom to her son which has made her re-experience the world through the lens of a child.
