MLK, Jr. Day at Great Explorations Children’s Museum  |  10:00am-3:00pm

Stop by the St. Petersburg children’s museum and celebrate the life, words and ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Children can make a necklace in tribute and build a peace and equality collage. Day will also include “I Have a Dream” paper dolls, a dream chain throughout the museum and an inspiring storytime. All activities are included in admission. greatex.org

Dr. Martin Luther King Day Parade in Tampa  |  12:00pm-3:30pm

Join thousands of people to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr during the 28th annual City of Tampa Martin Luther King Day Parade. The parade steps off at Cuscaden Park in East Tampa and ends at Middleton High School. Check out the parade route here to find the best viewing location for your family!

2017 MLK Dream Big Celebration and Parade in St. Petersburg |  11:00am-8:00pm

Be a part of the 32nd annual MLK Dream Big Parade in St. Petersburg and then continue the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and legacy during the Family Fun Day from 2:30pm-8:00pm. The parade steps off near the St. Pete Pier, heading west of Central Avenue South on MLK Street West and then onto 1st Avenue South to 16th Street where it will end across the street from Tropicana Field. This year features a new parade route to allow you to fully enjoy all of the day’s events and activities. Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston is this year’s grand marshal. The marching bands from Florida A&M and Tuskegee University will be taking part in this year’s parade! The celebration continues from 2:30pm-8:00pm with Family Fun Day at Tropicana Field Lots 6&7!
