Behind the Scenes: Creating the Magic of Jock Lindsey’s Halloween at Disney Springs
When Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs transforms for the Halloween season, it’s not just about adding cobwebs and pumpkins. The team behind the magic works months in advance to bring an immersive, not-so-scary twist to this fan-favorite spot.
We caught up with Lisa Borotkanics, Holiday Services Manager, for a peek at the creative process that went into the very first Halloween overlay at the Hangar Bar. And we chatted with members of the culinary team, too!

Designing the Story
“The design process was super fun!” Borotkanics shares. “We were immersed in the storyline, choosing items from the timeline that would transport guests into Jock’s world of eclectic gathering with a not-so-scary twist of the Halloween season.”
Every detail—from the props on the walls to the way the menu items are presented—was carefully considered to connect back to the adventurous spirit of Jock Lindsey, while giving families a festive new way to enjoy the bar.
And the food and drinks are part of the story too! While you may think of Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar for a Halloween date night – there are some features that kids will love too, like the specialty lemonade and the Mummy Wrapped Sausages.
“We started thinking about Jock Lindsay’s Halloween over two years ago, building on the success of our holiday menu. From the very beginning, it was about more than just food — how could we add those special effects and interactive touches that make the experience unforgettable?”

Transforming the Atmosphere
To bring the Halloween look to life, Disney tapped the expertise of Holiday Services. “Holiday Services was approached to create and decorate the Hangar Bar and transform the atmosphere into an assortment of Jock’s Halloween collection,” Borotkanics explains. “It was such an enjoyable process to see the décor come to life during the installation.”
Expect to see vintage-inspired decorations, playful nods to Halloween traditions, and a few surprises tucked into the hangar’s eclectic décor. And the food and drinks come out to play too!
The flavors that Jock Lindsey's is known for, with European and Asian influences, are woven together with fun Halloween-style presentations.

Setting the Mood with Music
No Halloween experience is complete without the right soundtrack. This season, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) led the way in curating the perfect playlist.
“WDI sourced the music for the Hangar Bar to really engage guests and immerse them in the Halloween season,” Borotkanics says.
The result? A mix of vintage Halloween tunes that make the whole experience feel both nostalgic and uniquely Disney.
An Experience Worth Seeing
With specialty food and drinks, interactive presentation, immersive décor, and a lively Halloween soundtrack, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar has been reimagined into a seasonal destination unlike anything else at Disney Springs. It's the crown jewel of Halloween at Disney Springs, happening now through October 31, 2025.
