Explore, Create, Perform!

Back by popular demand, week-long drama camps for ages 5-7, 8-10, and 11-13 introduce students to the wonderful world of theater, learning the basics of acting, character creation, and storytelling. Centered around a different theme each week, campers will work together to write, design, rehearse, and perform an original play for family and friends by the week’s end. All that is required is cooperation, innovation, and imagination!

For students ready to step into a bigger spotlight, the week-long Camp Broadway: Get A Clue! offers middle school-aged performers the unique opportunity to take part in the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Art’s annual summer musical, presented in the Murray Theatre at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Camp Broadway students will open the show and rehearse for cameo appearances in Clue: The Musical.

Comic antics, witty lyrics, and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room in the ever popular, Clue: The Musical. Directed by Drama Department Chair, Jack Holloway, with music direction by the school’s Music Department Chair, Yohance Wicks, Clue: The Musical will feature more experienced performers (ages 14-18+).

The performances will take place in the Murray Theatre at Ruth Eckerd Hall on:

  • Wednesday, July 30 at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 31 at 7 p.m.
  • Friday, August 1 at 7 p.m.
