As Tampa’s only health science magnet, Sligh Middle school students have the chance to experience life as future health professionals—wearing scrubs, earning First Aid and CPR certifications, and even starting high school credits early. Students explore anatomy, nutrition, patient care, and the many careers in health and medical science through hands-on, project-based learning. Partnerships with MOSI, HCC Robotics, Moffitt Cancer Center, USF, and more, give students access to field trips, guest speakers, and mentorship.
