Get messy and make new friends at The James Museum Summer Art Camp this summer. Week-long summer camps offer a variety of fun, hands-on activities that encourage creative thinking, original art-making and playful collaboration.

- Ages: Grades 1-6, Coed
GRADES 1-3 *for the 2024-25 school year
ART EXPEDITION: June 3-7, 2024; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. | $250/week; $225 for members
Go on a creative adventure as you learn about new art techniques and processes. Make connections with art at the museum and create your own masterpieces inspired by the world around you. Experiment with funky fiber weavings, colorful gelli prints, clay animal sculptures, and more.
COLOR POP: June 24-28, 2024; 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. | $250/week; $225 for members
Make bright and colorful creations inspired by the museum’s collection of sculpture and paintings. Think about how artists use color to express feelings and ideas as you experiment with printmaking, mold-making, fiber weaving, painting and more.
GOING GREEN: July 22-26, 2024; 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. | $250/week; $225 for members
Transform trash into treasure! Experiment with a variety of art materials and mediums in this eco-focused camp. Learn about the environment and wildlife as you create one-of-a-kind works using metal, wood, plastics, and more.
GRADES 4-6 *for the 2023-24 school year
FULL S.T.E.A.M. AHEAD: June 10-14, 2024; 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. | $250/week; $225 for members
Think BIG, bold, and out-of-the-box as you design, experiment, and construct. Combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math to create dynamic 2D and 3D works. Design your own art bot, build with unique materials, produce a short film, and try large scale action painting.
MEDIA MASH-UP: July 8-12, 2024; 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. | $250/week; $225 for members
Explore the fun of mixed media and get curious about combining your own art materials such as metals, ink, fabric, cardboard, and clay. Learn about layered pieces in the collection and create your own unique artworks inspired by what you find.
