The Vosler Young Artists' Studio is certified by the Art Renewal Center (ARC) as an Approved Atelier. Building skills and knowledge is the foundation of our programs here at the atelier.

Painting the Portrait in Oil Week 1 – Teens & Adults
- $495 (Model Fee included)
- June 2-6, 2025

This workshop will focus on a practical approach to painting the head from all sides. Anatomy will be covered and will include the skull, neck and shoulders. First, students will familiarize themselves with the skull by painting from casts in the grisaille technique. Next, students will examine Old Master drawings to understand how they applied this basic anatomical knowledge to describe the masses of the human figure clearly and effectively. After learning these simplified forms, students will paint from the live model.

This workshop will continue to build on the first week and include more study of the muscles of the head, neck and Shoulders.
Finally, life drawing with the model will offer the students the opportunity to put these lessons into practice. Kerry will demonstrate how to layer color beyond the grisaille block in. .
Illustrating a Story – Preteen Workshop
- A Classical Approach
- $195
- June 24-27, 2025
- Ages 8-12
- Supplies included. Â
In this workshop we will be working with line, shape, perspective and tone putting them to work to illustrate a story. Days one and two will be spent focused on developing the elements we will want to use on days three and four when we put it all together to draw the story.
