Thanks to the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, two to five-year-old children can enjoy the experience at the newly launched YMCA Preschool Summer Camp. “Join us for a fun-filled summer of learning and adventure! Our Preschool Summer Enrichment Camp offers a nurturing, engaging environment where children explore exciting weekly themes through hands-on activities, creative arts, sports experiences, outdoor play and early learning experiences,” explains Tampa YMCA’s Tonina Rodriguez, Director of Operations, Early Learning.
Designed to spark curiosity and foster social, emotional and cognitive growth, our camp provides the perfect blend of fun and educational enrichment to keep our littlest campers active all summer. We are also pleased to offer swimming lessons as an add-on to ensure children learn safety around water. This helps families who cannot enroll their children for swim lessons due to work or other commitments. We are also pleased to offer a sibling discount for those with older siblings enrolled in summer camps.
The camp blends engaging, hands-on activities with fun weekly themes to keep children excited and involved all summer.
- Age-Appropriate Programs: Designed for children ages 2 to 5, the program caters to their developmental needs, focusing on social, emotional and cognitive growth.
- Creative Learning Opportunities: Creative arts, outdoor play, and early learning experiences help children explore and develop new skills.
- Physical Activity: Children will participate in sports experiences and outdoor play to stay active and healthy.
- Nurturing Environment: The camp ensures a supportive and safe space where children feel encouraged to learn, grow and express themselves.
- Social Development: Through group activities, children will build friendships and practice teamwork, communication and other social skills.
“The YMCA’s trusted reputation is second to none. Parents/guardians can trust the YMCA's long-standing commitment to providing exceptional childcare and community programs. With experienced and caring staff, parents/guardians can feel confident their children are in a safe, supportive environment where they can thrive. The camp promotes physical activity through outdoor play and sports, helping children develop motor skills and stay active.
Arts, crafts, and hands-on projects give children a chance to explore their creativity and build confidence. Through early learning experiences and socialization, children gain skills that prepare them for the next stage of their educational journey,” adds Tonina.
Camp requirements: Potty-trained children, ages 2-5 years will need an updated physical and updated immunization record.
