Wild Spring Break Brings Animal Encounters to Glazer Children’s Museum
Families can go wild this Spring Break at Glazer Children’s Museum, where furry, feathery, and scaly animal friends are taking over for a week of unforgettable encounters.
During Wild Spring Break, March 16–20, 2026, children will have the chance to meet animals from local farms, sanctuaries, and therapy organizations through special daily guest appearances and hands-on experiences.
Each day features a new animal encounter designed to spark curiosity, encourage empathy for living creatures, and create unforgettable family moments. From cuddly therapy goats and miniature cows to reptiles, birds of prey, and gentle therapy animals, young visitors will experience the wonder of the animal kingdom up close.

“Spring Break is the perfect time for families to explore, play, and discover together,” said Sarah Cole, President and CEO of Glazer Children’s Museum. “Wild Spring Break brings the joy of animal encounters into the museum, giving children a chance to connect with animals in a way that inspires curiosity, compassion, and a lifelong love of learning.”
Wild Spring Break Schedule at Glazer Children's Museum:
- Monday, March 16 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Guests can meet cuddly dwarf therapy goats during a special visit from Fallen Oaks Farms. These friendly goats are known for their gentle personalities and love of hugs. - Tuesday, March 17 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Visitors will meet the sweetest mini Highland cows thanks to Mini Highland Cattle Co. and enjoy a sensory-friendly animal experience presented with Sensory Studio. - Wednesday, March 18 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
The day begins with fascinating reptiles from Reptile Discovery at 11 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., guests can cuddle therapy dogs from Paws for Friendship and meet miniature therapy horses from Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures. - Thursday, March 19 | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Feathery friends arrive from Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife, offering families the opportunity to learn about birds and wildlife conservation. - Friday, March 20 | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
The week wraps up with a variety of animals from Petronus Petting Zoo, featuring furry, fuzzy, scaly, and feathery creatures.
The museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of Hillsborough County Spring Break, including Monday, March 16. All Wild Spring Break animal encounters are included with general museum admission.
Families are encouraged to arrive early, as these special animal meet-and-greets are expected to be popular.
