U-Pick Farms in Tampa Bay: Where to pick citrus, berries, and veggies now!

U-pick farms in Tampa Bay are opening their fields once again for a fun and unique day out on the farm with the kids! Right now, you can pick strawberries, blueberries, vegetables, u-pick flowers, and even grapefruit.

Before you go, check each farm’s social pages or websites to ensure they are open as hours and dates change with weather and whether a crop is available for u-pick.

A few u-pick tips:

  • Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
  • Bring cash. Some farms accept credit cards but have cash on hand just in case.
  • Wear closed-toed shoes when out on the farm.
  • Pack plenty of water for everyone in your group. It can get hot in the fields (gotta love winter in Florida).
  • Only pick ripe fruit and veggies. Strawberries will not continue to ripen once picked.
  • Bring your own containers just in case. Some farms provide containers, but not all.

Ananda Farm in Terra Ceia: U-Pick Flowers

This is a NEW farm in the Tampa Bay area, offering an awesome day to get outside and play with the kids. In the spring season, which runs through May 11th, they not only have u-pick flowers, including snapdragons, but plenty of kid-friendly activities like a jumping pillow, tree house, and more! Dooley Groves in Ruskin: U-Pick Citrus- Rio Red Grapefruit 

Dooley Groves offers u-pick citrus during the winter months and will be offering u-pick Rio Red Grapefruit daily from 9 am-5 pm Monday through Saturday and then on Sundays from 10 am-5 pm. Stay tuned to their website for additional dates.

 

Sanchez Farms in Plant City: U-pick strawberries, pineberries, and u-pick flowers

Sanchez Farms is opening both of its fields for u-pick strawberries this weekend, Friday, April 6 through Sunday, April 6 from 8 am-6 pm. They also have a variety of u-pick flowers, including sunflowers and snapdragons.

 

JG Ranch in Brooksville: U-pick strawberries

JG Ranch is now offering u-pick strawberries Thursday through Sunday from 9 am-4 pm. You’ll want to check in on their Facebook page to see if they are open for u-pick before you head out since the weather can change things. You can also pick an array of fresh veggies. They also have a farm stand for fresh produce!

 

Upicktopia in Masaryktown: a variety of u-pick strawberries, veggies available now

Upicktopia has a variety of fruits and vegetables available for u-pick, including strawberries, arugula, kale, and more. You’ll want to check their Facebook page before you go to see what they have available for u-pick as it changes.

 

Keel & Curley in Plant City: U-Pick blueberries

The fields have been growing and are finally ready for u-pick blueberries and they are celebrating their Blueberry Festival Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am-3 pm in April.  Stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates.

 

You Pick Blueberries in Spring Hill: U-pick blueberries and veggies

You Pick Blueberries in Spring Hill is offering u-pick blueberries and leafy greens like kale, baby spinach, and collars by appointment only. Be on the lookout for food trucks and other vendors on site.

 

Starkey Blueberry Farm in New Port Richey: U-pick blueberries

Starkey Blueberry Farm has reopened for the season, offering u-pick blueberries starting on Saturday, April 5, from 8 am-1 pm. The berries are just beginning to ripen, so they will be open until all of the berries are picked. Check their Facebook page for daily updates on availability before heading out.

 

A Land of Delight Natural Farm and Nursery in Plant City: U-Pick vegetables, herbs, and fruit

A Land of Delight Natural Farm hosts a regular farmers market and u-pick. They are offering u-pick herbs and veggies right now. The market has plenty of fresh produce, honey, fruit trees, and so much more. Check their Facebook page here for updates.

 

Berry Sweet Acres in Plant City: U-pick strawberries

Berry Sweet Acres is offering u-pick strawberries on Wednesday-Sunday from 9 am-6 pm through at least Sunday, April 6 for the end of season. Berries are now $2 per pound. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates.

 

Strawberry Passion/Passion Organics in Thonotosassa: U-pick organically grown strawberries

  •  11780 Tom Folsom Rd, Thonotosassa
  • 9491 Rockhill Rd, Thonotosassa (strawberry picking location here, according to Facebook post)

The market will be open, along with strawberries grown using organic practices. This weekend's hours are Friday, April 4 from 9 am-2 pm and Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 from 9 am-4 pm. Field location, according to their Facebook post about the u-pick event, is 9491 Rockhill Rd in Thonotosassa.

 

5K Farms in Plant City: U-pick organic strawberries

5K Farms will be open for strawberry picking and Italian Ice for purchase to cool off! The hours this weekend are Saturday, April 5, from 9 am-5 pm. This is your last chance for the season here! Berries are $2 per pound.

 

Favorite Farms in Dover: U-pick strawberries

Favorite Farms is opening its North Bethlehem Road field for u-pick strawberries this weekend for the last days of the season. The last days to pick are Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, from 8 am-6 pm. Berries are $1 per pound.

 

Hunsader Farms in Bradenton:  U-Pick flowers and veggies (Flower Festival on April 5. 6, 12 & 13)

Flowers and veggies are available for daily u-pick. To find out exactly what's available, call their U-pick Hotline at 941-331-1212 before you head out. The farm is also offering u-pick flowers during its annual Flower Festival on April 5 and 6 and 12th and 13th, along with a farmers market. Visit their Facebook page for the latest updates.

 

Whiteheads Blueberry Farm in Winter Haven: U-pick blueberries OPENING APRIL 2, 2025

Whiteheads Blueberry Farm offers u-pick blueberries during the season. It’s located near LEGOLAND Florida and Peppa Pig Theme Park, so it’s a great side trip on the way home.

 

Royal Blues Farm in Dade City: U-Pick Blueberries

Royal Blues Farm is hosts u-pick blueberries on select days: April 3-6, 10-13, 17, 24-27 and May 1-4, 9 &11. Stay tuned to their website and social media for updates.

 

Church Lake Farm in Odessa: U-pick blueberries

Church Lake Farm offers u-pick blueberries on select days during the season. Make sure to check their Facebook page for picking updates. 

 

Dade City Farms: U-pick sunflowers during their Sunflower Festival April 12, 13, 26, & 27

The sunflowers are blooming at Dade City Farms just in time for their Sunflower Festival on April 12, 13, 26, & 27. They'll have u-pick sunflowers along with farm animals and activities, including hay rides. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. It's $12 for adults and $9 for kids ages 3-12.

Three Sons Farms: Opening in about May for u-pick flowers and tomatoes too soon

Three Sons Farms is offers u-pick strawberries, greens, and flowers like marigolds throughout the year. Stay tuned for future updates.

 

Bearss Groves U-Pick in Lutz: U-pick strawberries

Bearss Groves opened its 10-acre field for u-pick strawberries this season. You'll want to visit its Facebook page to make sure it is open, but so far, it looks like it is open on Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9, from 10 am to 3 pm. Bring cash since it's cash only. We haven't seen an update since, so it's worth a call if you live close by.

 

HarvestMoon Fun Farm Sunflower U-Pick in Masaryktown opening in May

Visit HarvestMoon Fun Farm for their Sunflower Festival in May–you can pick flowers through the maze-like paths and bring home a beautiful bouquet for yourself or a loved one! The peaches are ready on select days only, so check their Facebook page for updates. This fifth-generation family farm in Lithia has all the charm peach picking has to offer, including a photo opportunity with an old-fashioned truck as you enter the orchard. The century-old farm offers plenty of peaches to go around for everyone starting in late April. After picking, stop by Alafia River State Park which is just minutes away for some relaxation and fun under the trees

 

Stalk & Vine on 39: U-pick sunflowers

Stalk & Vine on 39 is offering u-pick sunflowers and a farmers market along with special events, so stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates.

 

Albritton Farms in Sarasota: u-pick blueberries

Albritton Farms opened their blueberry u-pick season on March 23 and is open for u-pick blueberries on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am- 1 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am-2 pm through May 19, 2024. While their berries are not certified organic, they say they do not use harmful chemicals. They also mention that their fields are stroller-friendly.

 

Beasley Farms in Brooksville: U-pick green beans

Beasley Farms is currently offering u-pick green beans in addition to an opportunity to buy a $10 produce box.  They also have u-pick green beans!

 

Hilltop Peaches in Bartow

Wish Farms in Plant City: U-Pick Blackberries coming soon 

Wish Farms opens its fields throughout the season for a variety of U-picks and soon, it'll be blackberries!  You can check their events page here to stay up to date.

 

Pigeon Cove Family Farm: U-pick closed for season

Florida Sweeties in Dade City: U-Pick Citrus done for the season

Various orchard locations in Dade City:
