U-Pick Farms in Tampa Bay: Where to pick strawberries and veggies now!

U-pick farms in Tampa Bay are opening their fields once again for a fun and unique day out on the farm with the kids! Right now, you can pick strawberries, blueberries, vegetables, u-pick flowers and even citrus.

Before you go, check each farm’s social pages or websites to ensure they are open as hours and dates change with weather and whether a crop is available for u-pick.

A few u-pick tips:

  • Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
  • Bring cash. Some farms accept credit cards but have cash on hand just in case.
  • Wear closed-toed shoes when out on the farm.
  • Pack plenty of water for everyone in your group. It can get hot in the fields (gotta love winter in Florida).
  • Only pick ripe fruit and veggies. Strawberries will not continue to ripen once picked.
  • Bring your own containers just in case. Some farms provide containers, but not all.

Visit HarvestMoon Fun Farm for their Sunflower U-Pick event which usually opens in May–you can pick flowers through the maze-like paths and bring home a beautiful bouquet for yourself or a loved one! Upicktopia in Masaryktown: a variety of u-pick strawberries, veggies, and citrus from October to June

Upicktopia has a variety of fruits and vegetables available for u-pick, including strawberries, cucumbers, kale, and tangerines. You’ll want to check their Facebook page before you go to see what they have available for u-pick as it changes.

Wish Farms Blueberry U-Pick in Plant City

Wish Farms is opening up their u-pick blueberries one day only on Saturdays and Sundays in April, while supplies last. Arrive between 9 am-10 am. Blueberries are $8 per pound. They will have buckets, but you need to bring your own container to transport your berries back home.  You can check their events page here to stay up to date.

Strawberry Passion/Passion Organics in Thonotosassa: U-pick organic strawberries, zucchini, onions, and sunflowers

JG Ranch in Brooksville: U-pick blackberries 

JG Ranch is now offering u-pick blackberries. You’ll want to check in on their Facebook page to see if they are open for u-pick before you head out since the weather can change things. You can also pick an array of fresh veggies. They also have a farm stand for fresh produce!

You Pick Blueberries in Spring Hill: U-pick blueberries and greens

You Pick Blueberries in Spring Hill is offering u-pick blueberries during the season. They also have some greens for u-pick like kale, collards, and spinach. Be on the lookout for food trucks and other vendors on site.

Keel & Curley in Plant City: U-Pick blueberries

Keel & Curley location on Thonotosassa Road also happens to be right by Dinosaur World, so it’s a great day trip for families. We also love grabbing lunch under the covered patio and saying hello to the farm animals, so make some time in your day for that too! Check their Facebook page here for updates. They are currently celebrating their annual Keel Farms Blueberry Festival on weekends through April 21, 2024 from 10 am-3 pm.

Starkey Blueberry Farm in New Port Richey: U-pick blueberries

Starkey Blueberry Farm has reopened for the season, offering u-pick blueberries daily. Check their Facebook page for daily updates on availability before heading out.

A Land of Delight Natural Farm and Nursery in Plant City: U-Pick red and white mulberries and more

A Land of Delight Natural Farm hosts a regular farmers market and u-pick. They are offering u-pick mulberries and veggies right now. The market has plenty of fresh produce, honey, fruit trees, and so much more. Check their Facebook page here for updates.

Three Sons Farms: U-pick sunflowers

Three Sons Farms is now offering u-pick sunflowers along with a chance to purchase milkshakes and strawberry shortcakes as a treat after picking your own beautiful sunflower bouquet!

Beasley Farms in Brooksville: U-pick sunflowers

Beasley Farms is currently offering u-pick sunflowers in addition to an opportunity to buy a $10 produce box. Sunflowers are $1 each.

Hunsader Farms in Bradenton:  U-Pick flowers and green beans

Hunsader Farms is now offering a farmers market along with u-pick flowers and green beans. Their farmers market is now open on weekends and you can also visit with some of the animals! Visit their Facebook page for the latest updates. They’ll soon be celebrating the 1st Annual Hunsader Farms Flower Festival April 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2024.

Royal Blues Farm in Dade City: U-Pick Blueberries

Whiteheads Blueberry Farm in Winter Haven: U-pick blueberries

Whiteheads Blueberry Farm offers u-pick blueberries during the season. It’s located near LEGOLAND Florida and Peppa Pig Theme Park, so it’s a great side trip on the way home.

Albritton Farms in Sarasota: u-pick blueberries

Albritton Farms opened their blueberry u-pick season on March 23 and is open for u-pick blueberries on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am- 1 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am-2 pm through May 19. While their berries are not certified organic, they say they do not use harmful chemicals. They also mention that their fields are stroller-friendly.

Sanchez Farms in Plant City: U-pick flowers

Sanchez Farms is opening its fields for u-pick flowers on select days in April while supplies last from 8 am-5 pm. They will have Ranunculus:$2.00 per stem, Stock: $1.50 per stem, Snapdragon: $1.00 per stem, and Sunflowers: $2.00 per stem. YOu can visit event page here for updates.

Dooley Groves is currently offering u-pick grapefruit daily from 10 am-4 pm. The last day for u-pick for the season is Saturday, April 6. This is a must-experience and they also have a great market. Be sure to visit their Facebook page to stay up to date since the grapefruit will be available until it’s all picked.

Berry Sweet Acres in Plant City: U-pick strawberries

Pigeon Cove Family Farm: U-pick strawberries (Last pick of the season April 5-7)

Pigeon Cove Family Farm is a recent addition to the area. They are open Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7 for the final strawberry u-pick of the season from 10 am-5 pm. Berries are $3 per pound.

5K Farms in Plant City: U-pick organic strawberries

5K Farms is opening their organic strawberry u-pick this weekend on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7 from 9 am-5 pm. You can bring your own container, but they will have buckets available for purchase for $5. Strawberries are $2 per pound.

Check out this all-new U-pick experience in Tampa Bay! Bearss Groves has opened its 10-acre strawberry picking fields for the first time and will extend their season due to popular demand. This week’s dates are Friday, March 15 from 3 pm-6 pm, Saturday, March 16 from 8 am-3 pm, and Sunday, March 17 from 8 am-3 pm.!

Florida Sweeties in Dade City: U-Pick Peaches

The Southern Peach Company in Lithia

The peaches are ready on select days only, so check their Facebook page for updates. This fifth-generation family farm in Lithia has all the charm peach picking has to offer, including a photo opportunity with an old-fashioned truck as you enter the orchard. The century-old farm offers plenty of peaches to go around for everyone starting in late April.
