INSIDE LOOK: Brick or Treat kicks off this weekend at LEGOLAND Florida!

Brick or Treat Monster Party is back at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort this year, with more dates than ever before and ALL NEW experiences, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026!We've attended Brick-or-Treat with our kids for several years now, and it still tops our list of favorite Halloween events in Tampa Bay! From event-exclusive LEGO® character meet-and-greets to the stunning Monster Skytacular, it's a not-to-miss Halloween celebration and best of all… it's included with park admission.So, let's dive into this year's event, friends!

First, when is Brick-or-Treat?

Brick-or-Treat is being celebrated on select dates from September 5 to October 31, 2026.

The exact event dates for Brick or Treat in 2026 are:

• September 2026: 5-6, 12, 19, and 26
• October 2026: Oct. 3-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, and 30-31

What's NEW at Brick-or-Treat in 2026: Brick or Treat Street!

LEGOLAND Florida Resort debuted its biggest expansion to Brick or Treat yet: Brick or Treat Street! You can expect an immersive “neighborhood” trick-or-treating experience featuring six life-sized LEGO® Monster homes, hands-on challenges, LEGO® Monster mischief, and of course…candy!

We got in line during a lightning break, so many rides were closed for safety reasons. The line was long because everyone was seeking cover from the weather, but during regular park operation, it should move a lot faster. We don't have to tell you…Florida weather always has tricks up its sleeve! We're just glad there are plenty of indoor activities at LEGOLAND while we wait it out.It was worth the wait, though! The kids loved the interactive experience, and we LOVED being indoors with a/c. Haha!You can meet two characters in this area (Imagination Zone) after you make your way through Brick or Treat Street: LEGO Mummy and LEGO Wacky Witch.The fun doesn't end there! Also, the new Potion Mischief Light Trail to explore, with interactive stations that light up once the sun goes down, and more.We also loved the Halloween additions to LEGOLAND's new ride, Galacticoaster! The boys picked the spider web wings! Galacticoaster is another attraction that is able to remain open during lightning delays since it's indoors, so we got to experience this one too while we waited out the weather.

MORE of Our Favorite Things at Brick-or-Treat 2026

We are big LEGO fans, and one of our favorite things about Brick-or-Treat is the event-exclusive characters! One of our favorites was the LEGO Monster Rocker meet-and-greet, which is indoors next to Heartlake Hall and is back in 2026.When you walk in, you get to pick a song to dance to with the Monster Rocker before snapping a picture. We picked “Thriller” this year! (photo at top of post)

All of the Awesome LEGO character meet-and-greets at Brick-or-Treat and where/when to find them:

There are several event-exclusive LEGO characters to meet throughout the day! You can easily snap photos with several as the times are all staggered. Keep in mind that the characters tend to be at the location for about 20 minutes, so try to arrive on time. The lines don't get too long and move pretty quickly in our experience over the years.

The LEGO Builds

As I mentioned, we're big LEGO fans, so my boys like to spend a lot of time in the build zones, including the LEGO Ferrari Build & Race Experience! This is also a nice break from the heat and humidity since the multiple build zones are indoors.There are two themed build areas to experience this year, including the Pumpkin Build in MINILAND, USA! You might find your pumpkin build in MINILAND! This was something new the park's LEGO Master Model Builders asked to do last year, and it was a hit.

There is also a LEGO Scarecrow Superbrick Build area in DUPLO Valley where you can help build a superbrick, which will become a part of a larger LEGO Scarecrow in the park. It's pretty cool to watch it grow throughout the month as more guests add their superbricks to the sculptures!Since we are on the topic of building with LEGO, it's a good transition into our next favorite thing…

Looking for Halloween additions in MINILAND USA

This is almost like a scavenger hunt! LEGO Master Model Builders at the park have added a ton of Halloween twists to MINILAND, so pretty obvious and others you'll have to search for.We caught up with one of the master builders, Ryan Wood, and asked him about a few of the Easter eggs they've placed in MINILAND, “We do offer a few unofficial things, just for the people who happen to be lingering in MINILAND a little bit longer — like how many bats are on the outside of the buildings in New York City, just as an example. And the ghosts might be lining all the water basins around Miami … how many are there? We don't usually announce those things, and guests just sort of figure it out.”

Trick-or-Treating and Treats at Brick-or-Treat

There are seven trick-or-treat stations that are open from 2 pm to 7 pm. If you don't have your own treat bag, no fear! You can get a bag at any of the treat stations that you can use for trick-or-treating around the park. The candy is sponsored by Haribo.

Last but not least…. the shows, including the Drone Show: Monster Skytacular

The Monster Skytacular drone show is back for 2026!We're ending with this since it's how we ended our day at Brick-or-Treat in 2025! The kids loved it. (Note: The drone show starts in October, so we didn't see it on opening day this year.)There are 500 drones in all! For the best view of the show, find a seat in the grassy area next to Pirate’s Cove. The show starts once the sun sets at about 8:00 pm.

What we thought about Brick-or-Treat Monster Party with kids:

We always have a great day at Brick-or-Treat. I like that this event offers a wide variety of things to do. I also love how they add a Halloween element to the rides like Halloween Galacticoaster, Department of Monster Vehicles, The Dragon: Roarsome Halloween Adventure, and Mischief Town Carousel.

Kids are invited to get dressed up, but since it was hot with scattered showers the day we went, we opted out of costumes for this one.If you are looking for a fun day out with the kids, Brick-or-Treat is it!

LEGOLAND Florida Annual Pass Deal

We’ve also had annual passes in the past and loved that we were able to only focus on Brick-or-Treat activities since we knew we could come back any time to enjoy the rest of the awesome rides and attractions. This is definitely something to consider, so you can return for Holidays at LEGOLAND and Kids’ New Year’s Eve later this year! And there are extra perks like merchandise discounts and free parking.
