It’s finally fall ya’ll…at least it is at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort!
Disney has done it again, becoming the first attraction to immerse us in the season, and even though it’s still sweltering outside, you still get to experience a change in season through flavor and family-friendly fun.
Disney invited us for a peek at all of the festive happenings at Disney Springs and adorable new merch, so let’s dive in…or shall we say, “Fall into the Magic” this Halloween season!

Fall into Magic Dates at Disney Springs
The fall festivities will be celebrated from Aug. 11 through Nov. 9. You can expect festive decor, too-cute-to-eat-themed food at restaurants throughout Disney Springs, and merch galore!
There’s also no shortage of photo ops, whether it’s at Mickey’s Pumpkin Patch at the Photo Pass Studio near the Ghiradelli Store or poses with season-exclusive entertainers like the Farmhand rummers, Pumpkin Stilt Walkers, and Harvest Skaters. These characters will take on a spookier twist as we get closer to Halloween.
It’s a great way to experience the magic of the season at Disney without making a visit to the theme parks or even adding to the fun if the parks are part of the plan. There are some great Florida resident Disney ticket deals right now starting at just $65 per day for a four-day pass. This deal is good for visits through Oct. 3. Let’s Talk Disney Halloween Merch at Disney Springs
It’s all so ghoulishly good that it feels absolutely sinister to pick favorites, but we will anyway. ’Tis the season!
While there are so many fa-boo-lous Halloween-themed finds this year, the team favorite has to be the new Pastel Cutie Ghost collection. You’ll find apparel, accessories, home decor, and of course…the headband featuring the adorable plush Mickey and Minnie ghosts.
My personal picks for the home: the Mickey and Minnie Pumpkin light-up mold, perfect for the front porch, and the tabletop bubble blower. The Mickey Mouse pumpkin wreath is also back, and it’s one of my favorite purchases over the last couple of years.
We also loved the perfect-for-grownups, but bigger kids can wear too, Halloween capes themed after characters like Fairy Godmother, Jafar, and Ursula.

A MUST-VISIT Restaurant at Disney Springs: Halloween Overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
It’s not just the food getting a fangtastic makeover—how about an entire restaurant?? Head on over to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to experience the Halloween overlay through Nov. 9.
There are so many tiny details to notice and a story behind each thing, of course. It wouldn’t be Disney World if there wasn’t a story to tell! It’s got a very nostalgic feel, inspired by 1940s Halloween decor. It’s cool during the day, but even cooler to see at night when it all lights up. But you won’t miss out if you happen to be dining during the day, so don’t fret!
Extra: Wondering who Jock Lindsey is? He’s the pilot in the film Raiders of the Lost Ark. He’s also known for having a pet boa constrictor named Reggie, and if you look up in the restaurant, you’ll spot Reggie’s empty cage! So how did he wind up at Disney Springs? The story goes he crash-landed here while in search of the Fountain of Youth and decided to stay, turning his hangar into a hang out! As we said, it wouldn’t be Disney if there wasn’t some sort of story attached to it!
There was also a lot of thought and detail that went into creating this menu, with families in mind who may be dining together.
Here are three of the new items on the menu at Jock Lindsey’s for the Halloween season we think you AND the kids will love:
- Candelabra Eggs: Deviled eggs with crispy fried chicken, sweet-and-tart pepper sauce, and aji amarillo custard
Bone Kebabs: Pork and beef bone kebabs, prosciutto, creamy tomato sauce, and katifi straws. Served on a candelabra. - Midnight Mayhem Popcorn Chicken: Crispy fried chicken, candied bacon, spiced walnuts, popcorn, and hot honey sauce. Served in a creepy cool pumpkin lantern.
- Alien Invader Sliders: Crispy Nashville hot fried chicken, sliced provolone, dill pickle slices, cheddar-chive biscuit, and queen olives (Returning item, but served on a NEW locally made space ship saucer)
We got a chance to chat one-on-one with Chef Gary Miles about the inspiration behind the menu and even the vessels that carry the food to your table for extra Halloween flair!
Ok Chef, we can’t help but notice some pretty amazing ways the food is displayed! Tell us about that creative process.
Chef Miles: We’ve been working on this pretty much since January, trying to figure out the vessels, the food, and how do we make those two pieces come together? What says Halloween when it's on a table? It's kind of our parameter. Take that we brainstorm like what vessels are out there, what can we use, what's new, what’s creative, what can we make, and then we take the food that you know it's comfort food, it's stuff you know it's not overly aggressive as far as flavor profiles and stuff so it's fun unique food served in a really unique way.
Tell us about the Midnight Mayhem Popcorn Chicken creation!
Chef Miles: We knew we wanted to do a lantern, but how do we do the lantern in a way that we can do it? So I worked with one of our vendors, and we came up with the pumpkin vessel here. So it looks like you have that little pumpkin inside your lantern. The orange paper obviously helps with the pumpkin and makes it look a little like a flame coming out the top, and then we have the syringe with the hot honey sauce so the guests can have fun adding their own sauce or how much or how little they like to put on it.
And the Bone Kebabs went a step further in presentation too!
Chef Miles: Yeah, so we have the coffin here, and this will come out just like this for the guests. And then what happens? We lift it up. Yeah. So it's one of the things we brought back. And again, it just brings out the whole experience. It makes it full circle. So it's not just a lid, a coffin. It does something else.
And the alien sliders are fan favorites that are returning this year, but with a new spaceship vessel!
Chef Miles: I worked with one of our vendors that does metal work. So this is all stainless steel. And we had this design kind of like a retro spaceship that those aliens could come out on. Something more than just serving on a plate.
This has to be a pretty fun job. You basically get paid to be creative and whip up some magical dishes!
Chef Miles: Yeah, so that's the fun part about working here at Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar and doing these events: I'm not looking at just a plate as a plate. I'm looking at what can we make? What can we create? Who are our vendors that can make this stuff for us? So I work with them. I kind of give them my vision, and then they put it to use. So I have a guy that does wood. I have a guy that does metal work for me, and they put it out. I have a lot of fun with it.
Anything you haven’t done yet that’s on your creation wish list?
Chef Miles: If I could figure out how to make something look like it's on fire, if I could do that, I don't know how to do it yet. But those are the kinds of things I'm keeping in the back of my mind. How can we do this? How can we bring more of, not just obviously the taste of the food is the most important thing we want to do, but the other senses. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell? How does this look? And how can we go over the top?

A big hit with my kids was Goofy’s Candy Company’s Halloween popcorn topped with candy corn, marshmallows, sprinkles, and chocolate.
