FREE and CHEAP Movies All Summer Long in Tampa Bay

Keep your cool this summer and head to the movies! Several Tampa Bay area theaters are offering free and cheap movies all summer long! And don’t forget, you’ll be able to save on sales tax on your purchase of movie tickets during the Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday in July.

Free and Cheap Summer Movies in Tampa Bay

*Be sure to check with each theater website before you go to ensure tickets are available and confirm times. Most theaters offer pre-sale tickets and it’s possible some dates may sell out.

Xscape Theaters Summer Movies for Kids: Free Kids Movies

Xscape Theaters in Riverview is bringing back its Summer Movies for Kids program offering free movies this summer on select days! Screenings include Trolls Band Together, The Bad Guys, Shrek 2, and MORE. You can explore all of the dates and movies on schedule here. 

B&B Theatres at The Grove in Wesley Chapel: Tuesdays-Thursdays: $3 movies 

Head to B & B Theatres at The Grove on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10 a.m. & 12:30 a.m. for cheap movies all summer long! Tickets are $3.00 for Backstage Pass members (free to join!), and $5.00 for the general public. Remaining movies in 2024 include: Kung Fu Panda (July 23-25) and Angry Birds 2 (July 30-Aug.1).

Regal Summer Movie Express: $1 Family Movies

The  Summer Movie Express features kid favorites for cheap at just $1! The $1 Summer Movie Express Movies will be offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 am. Screenings include Peter Rabbit 2, Puss in Boots, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem, Angry Birds 2, Despicable Me 3, Migration, Spider Man, the Paw Patrol movies, and MORE!  Tampa Bay Area Regal theaters in the Tampa Bay area:

Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse: $1.75 movies

Cinemark’s Summer Movie Clubhouse is back in 2024 with 8 weeks of kid-friendly movies offered at $1.75 per ticket on select days. See movies like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (June 10-13), Sonic the Hedgehog (June 17-20),  Shrek (June 24-27), Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (July 1-4), The LEGO Movie (July 8-11), Trolls Band Together (July 15-18), How to Train Your Dragon (July 22-25), Migration (July 29-August 1), Hotel Transylvania (July 5-8), Paddington 2 (July 12-15).

Cinemark theaters in Tampa Bay:

CMX Cinemas Kids Summer Film Fest 2024: $1.99 movies

Head to your local CMX Cinemas to enjoy select shows on Tuesdays through Thursdays at 10 am for $1.99 per ticket! Screenings in 2024 include Minions: Rise of Gru (June 18-20), Despicable Me (June 25-27), Secret Life of Pets (July 2-4), Migration (July 9-11), Trolls Band Together (July 16-18), Sing 2 (July 23-25), Shrek (July 30-August 1), and How to Train Your Dragon (July 6-8).

AMC Summer Movie Camp: $3 Movies

AMC’s 2024 Summer Movie Camp features select kid favorites on select days for $3 plus tax. You can watch Migration, Minions: Rise of Gru, SING, and more! This deal is from June through August 2024. We recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance because seats can book up quickly for certain movies.

That’s right! Did you know you can download and stream movies or rent a DVD from your local library? Hillsborough County Public Libraries offers this service to members.
