Where to see July 4th fireworks in Tampa Bay in 2023

One of our favorite ways to celebrate July 4th is snuggled up on a blanket with the kids and watching a spectacular fireworks show! And YAY for all of us because there are several July 4th fireworks displays on schedule this year throughout the Tampa Bay area, so you probably don’t have to drive too far to find one.

Our list of favorite July 4th fireworks shows in the Tampa Bay area includes epic waterfront displays and even several early celebrations this weekend since July 4th lands on a Tuesday this year.

Celebrate July 4th at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay!

4th of July Fireworks at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens’ biggest and brightest fireworks show is getting even bigger for July 4! Be sure to look to the sky at 9:15 pm each night for their Summer Celebration Firework Spectacular followed by an extended patriotic encore from June 30-July 4. Before the fireworks go off, be sure to explore the best of Summer Celebration, including exciting shows, entertainment, and more throughout the park. Dance to the beat in their DJ Party Zones. Adults 21+ can also enjoy two complimentary 7 oz beers per day at Pantopia Drinks & Snacks.

 

8th Annual Zephyrhills Summerfest and Fireworks

WHEN: Saturday, July 1 from 12 pm-9 pm
LOCATION: Zephyr Lake Park, 38116 5th Avenue, Zephyrhills

FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: Nightfall
Summerfest is back strong with a day filled with FREE family-friendly fun at Zephyr Lake Park! There will be live music, food-eating contests, kids’ dance off, live music, a market, a bounce house and water slides, food trucks, and so much more. The night will wrap with Pasco County’s largest fireworks display.

 

Tampa’s Boom by the Bay 2023

WHEN: Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 4 pm
LOCATION: Julian B Lake Riverfront Park, 1001 N. Blvd., Tampa
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: Dusk
The Boom by the Bay takeover of Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park returns! This year’s event will feature activities for the whole family to enjoy such as a pickleball tournament, apple pie bake-off, kids zone activities, food trucks, and fireworks. The festivities kick off at 4:00 pm and fireworks light up the sky at dusk.

 

Safety Harbor Fourth of July Fireworks

WHEN: Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 5-9 pm
LOCATION: Safety Harbor Waterfront Park, 105 Veterans Memorial Lane. Safety Harbor
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9 pm
Head over to the Safety Harbor marina for live entertainment, children’s activities, food vendors, and more. And of course, you don’t want to miss the fireworks show at 9 pm.

 

Red, White and BOOM at LEGOLAND Florida Resort on Lake Eloise

WHEN: Sunday July 2 – Tuesday, July 4, 2023

Celebrate America’s Independence Day as the skies above Lake Eloise fill with colorful fireworks. Watch as the skies fill with the biggest fireworks show of the year in the only place that transforms fireworks into LEGO bricks before your eyes.​

 

Patriotic Evening in Inverness

WHEN: Sunday, July 2 from 5:30 pm-9:30 pm
LOCATION: Lake Henderson
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:15 pm
This community celebration features live music, food, and drink vendors, and more to entertain you before the fireworks display! There are three viewing spots: Liberty Park at 286 N. Apopka Avenue, Depot District at 300 N. Apopka Avenue, and Wallace Brooks Park at 328 E. Dampier Street.

 

Largo Celebrates Independence Day

WHEN: Sunday, July 2, the event kicks off at 6 pm 
LOCATION: Largo Central Park, 
COST: Free to attend, parking is $10 cash only
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME:  Nightfall
Celebrate July 4th a day early with live music, visits with the birds of prey from McGough Nature Park, and the Largo Police Department. The evening ends with a patriotic fireworks display, so bring your own blankets to enjoy!

 

Red, White, and Kaboom in Lakeland

WHEN: Monday, July 3 from 6 pm-9:15 pm
LOCATION: Francis Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror
COST: Free to attend (attendees are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item)
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:00 pm
Celebrate July 4th early with live music, food, and a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Mirror. If you plan to attend, try to bring a few non-perishable food items which will be collected at the event to help support VISTE, an organization that helps elderly people continue to live independently in their homes.

 

Hometown USA Celebration in Dunedin

WHEN: Monday, July 3 from 7 pm- 11 pm
LOCATION: TD Ballpark, 373 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:15 pm
Head to the ballpark for a patriotic evening of live music, a screening of the movie ‘Field of Dreams’, and more. The evening tops off with a beautiful fireworks display. This event is free to attend and limited free parking will also be available at the TD Ballpark and Dunedin Library.

 

Madeira Beach Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

WHEN: Monday, July 3 from 9 pm-9:30 pm
LOCATION: R.O.C. Park, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach

Crystal River Centennial Celebration/July 4th Fireworks

WHEN: Monday, July 3. Daylong celebrations begin at 10 am
LOCATION: Crystal River Town Square, 559 N Citrus Avenue, Crystal River

FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: Nightfall
Crystal River is turning 100 years old and will be celebrating this huge milestone–the fireworks event will replace the annual July 4th fireworks display. There will be a parade during the day, live music, food vendors, and more.

 

Clearwater Celebrates America at the NEW Coachman Park 

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 10 am-11 pm
LOCATION: Coachman Park, 301 Drew Street, Clearwater
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:30 pm
Clearwater Celebrates America will include a classic car show featuring vintage cars and trucks. Shop local at the farmers market, enjoy the sounds of street entertainers, and let the kids burn off energy with family-friendly entertainment. As the day comes to a close, witness the grand finale – the largest waterfront fireworks display in Clearwater’s history accompanied by The Florida Orchestra. The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 3 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: 1910 N. Ola Avenue, Tampa
COST: Free to attend. VIP access available for purchase
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:15 pm
Festivities include a large-scale riverfront concert, riverfront fireworks display overlooking downtown Tampa, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, Hot Dog Eating competition, and American-inspired art that will be auctioned off during the event. They will also have a Kids Zone complete with bounce houses, slides, an obstacle course, and free crafts. Face painting and glitter tattoos will be available for purchase. Free public access, general admission, and VIP access are all available.

 

Thunder on the Ridge in Haines City

WHEN: July 4 from 3 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: Lake Eva Park, 555 Ledwith Avenue, Haines City

Celebrate July 4th during Polk County’s largest fireworks display which has been a part of the community since 1998. There will be live music, food and drinks, children’s activities, and more.

 

The Fourth St. Pete at The Pier 

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 4 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: St. Pete Pier, 600 2nd Ave NE, St. Petersburg
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9 pm
The outdoor, family-friendly festivities at the Pier will include fun activities such as the third annual St. Pete Pier run, a craft beer garden, food trucks, and local vendors. There will be live music roaming entertainers, and more! The traditional waterfront Fourth of July fireworks show, sponsored by the City of St. Pete, will be visible from the downtown waterfront, including Bayshore Dr, Straub Park, and Vinoy Park. Prior to the show, the 13th US Army Band will be performing patriotic opera music. Fireworks will begin at 9 pm.

NEW this year – Uncle Sam’s Market will gather local artisans, creators, and food vendors under a festive red, white, and blue banner. There will be handcrafted items, local produce, food, and more. Kids can also enjoy the new Firecracker Fun Zone for bounce houses and an arts and crafts area (wristbands are required).

Sparkman Wharf is celebrating Independence Day with its 5th annual Star Spangled Sparkman— a staple community event with entertainment for all ages. Guests will have a spectacular waterfront view of the riverfront fireworks show as one of Tampa Bay’s prime viewing locations. Guests will also have front-row viewing of the annual Blessing of the Fleet, followed by the Boat Parade and Water Ski Show presented by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk.

 

Gulfport Fourth of July Celebration

WHEN: July 4 from 8 am-9 pm
LOCATION: Downtown Waterfront District in Gulfport
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9 pm
The day kicks off early with a fishing tournament followed by family-friendly sand sculpting contests, a parade at 6 pm, and then fireworks at 9 pm. The best place to view the waterfront fireworks is from Gulfport Beach.

 

Starkey Market Fourth of July Extravaganza in New Port Richey

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4 from 4 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: Starkey Market, 3460 Starkey Blvd, New Port Richey
COST: Advanced purchase tickets are $10-$27.50
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: Nightfall
Starkey Market in New Party Richey is celebrating July 4th with family-friendly fun, plenty of food, music, and of course, fireworks! Tickets range from $10-$27.50 when purchased in advance. Children 6 and younger are free.

 

48th Annual Temple Terrace Fireworks

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4 from 6 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, 600 Inverness Avenue, Temple Terrace

FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9: 15 pm
Celebrate Independence Day in Temple Terrace with an evening of food, music, live entertainment, and fireworks!

 

Lealman Independence Day Celebration

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4 from 6 pm-9 pm
LOCATION: Ray Neri Park, 4303 46th Avenue N,  St. Petersburg
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: Nightfall
Join your neighbors at this free community event to celebrate July 4th with free hot dogs for kids ages 12 and younger (courtesy of the Lealman Fire District). Make sure to bring your own chair and blankets to view the fireworks. Free parking is available at the Lealman Exchange.

 

Plant City July 4th Celebration

WHEN: July 4 from 6 pm-9:30 pm
LOCATION: Plant City Stadium, 1810 East Park Road, Plant City
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9:15 pm
Join your neighbors for the annual July 4th celebration featuring live music, a 50/50 raffle, family-friendly activities, and more. Parking is $5 at the stadium-parking gates open at 5:30 pm.

 

Treasure Island 4th of July Fireworks

WHEN: Tuesday, July 4 from 9 pm-10 pm
LOCATION: 10400 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
COST: Free to attend
FIREWORKS DISPLAY TIME: 9 pm
Bring your chairs and blankets for a gorgeous view of waterfront fireworks on Treasure Island Beach. Off site parking will be available for $20 at Treasure Island Park.

 

Fourth of July Celebration at Avalon Park West

LOCATION: Avalon Park West, Wesley Chapel
