The BEST Valentine's Day Events in Tampa Bay for Kids

MOSI: SkyWatch

Date: Select Fridays now through March 6, 2026
Location: MOSI
Cost: Free for MOSI members, $5 per person

Join MOSI astronomers for our recurring evening stargazing event, SkyWatch! This event features telescope viewing under the stars as well as space-themed demos.

Chat with one of their expert astronomers as they bring the galaxy into view with telescopes set up from the ground level of our outdoor Science Park, all the way up to the top of the MOSI Dome. This event is open to all ages.

Registration is required as space is limited.

Busch Gardens Kids' Weekends

Date: January 24-February 8, 2026

Celebrate Valentine's Day at the Florida State Fair

Dates: February 5-16, 2026
Location: Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 US Hwy. 301 North, Tampa, FL
Cost: $8 when purchased online through February 4, 2026. Tickets purchased online during fair time will cost $10, and tickets bought on-site the day of are $15.

The Florida State Fair is a great way to spend a fun-filled day together as a family! Head over on Saturday, February 14, to visit the midway, meet animals in the Great American Petting Zoo and Menagerie, explore exhibits like the Little Farm Hands exhibit, visit the Foam Zone, participate in a Kids Game Show, and more!

Valentine’s Day at The Melting Pot – St. Petersburg

Dates: February 6–22, 2026

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a romantic fondue dining experience at The Melting Pot of St. Petersburg. Guests can enjoy a special five-course Valentine’s menu featuring classic cheese fondue, entrées, and decadent chocolate fondue, along with signature drinks and romantic touches throughout the meal. The Valentine’s menu is offered February 6–13 and February 15–22, with a prix fixe menu exclusively on February 14.

Reservations are recommended for this popular Valentine’s tradition.

Valentine's Gnome Painting

Bring your favorite snacks and drinks for a fun afternoon of painting a Valentine's Gnome, you can even add on a make your own candle! If you add-on a candle, be sure to arrive 15-20 minutes before the painting class begins so you have time to make it. All painters under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum age of 7 is recommended for the activity.

Sur La Table Family Fun: Valentine's Day Treats

Make this Valentine’s Day extra special by joining us for a fun-filled family afternoon of baking, laughter, and plenty of tasty treats! Clay Chocolate Strawberry Making Class

Florida Railroad Museum's Valentine Limited Train Ride

The Florida Railroad Museum is once again hosting its Valentine's event! Guests will enjoy a 30-minute train ride to Willow. Upon arrival, everyone will disembark for a delicious dinner featuring Grilled Chicken Pomodoro, Chargrilled Pork Loin Chop, Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms, and Vegetarian Lasagna.

A DJ will be on board taking requests, so bring your list of favorite songs along with your dancing shoes and get ready for a sweet time! For kids ages 12+.

Cake Decorating: Valentine Froggies

Take a day trip to Ananda Farm

Ananda Farm is open for the season and they have a lot of great outdoor activities for kids! The Dragon Fruit Lair Treehouse is a great way to let this imaginations run wild and get tuckered out. There are also Passionfruit Jumping Pillows, Peter Pelican's Playground, Gem Mining, and tons more of activities!

Plus, their farm is also open for u-pick flowers. This is a great way for families to build a beautiful bouquet together and place it on the Valentine's Day dinner table!

Visit a U-Pick Farm
