Glazer Children's Museum adult craft night

Parents Can Get in on Crafting Fun with Adult Craft Night at Glazer Children’s Museum

Nowadays, connecting is too much through a screen, and not enough through hobbies, relaxed time, and friends!

If your algorithm has convinced you that everyone is making charm bracelets, pouring candles, bedazzling everything they own, and keeping junk journals…this is your sign to join in the fun of crafting.

More adults are intentionally seeking ways to disconnect from screens, slow down, and spend time creating instead of consuming, and that's why Glazer Children's Museum is hosting Grown Up Night: Crafter Hours, an after-hours event for guests ages 18 and older on July 25, 2026, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

“Children naturally understand the value of play, but somewhere along the way many adults stop giving themselves permission to create simply for the fun of it,” said Sarah Cole, President and CEO of Glazer Children's Museum. We’re hosting Grownup Night: Crafter Hours because play doesn't have an age limit, and we could all use a little play in our lives.”

About Adult Craft Night at Glazer Children's Museum

This Grown Up Night: Crafter Hours is an event for guests ages 18 and older that celebrates the simple joy and whimsy of crafting!

Designed for hobby hoppers, DIY divas, craft connoisseurs, and anyone looking to unplug, the evening is packed with hands-on projects, nostalgic snacks, music, and opportunities to create alongside friends and fellow makers.

What can we craft?

Spend the night making Shrinky Dink keychains (an iconic ode to our childhood), bag charms, bedazzling trinkets, embroidering headphone cords, designing Perler bead Polaroid frames, creating colorful spin art, and exploring playful stationery, buttons, and pins—all included with admission.

Local makers will also offer craft experiences (for an extra free) including candle pouring, jewelry making, bead bars, charm bars, junk journaling, and wardrobe embellishment, allowing guests to leave with personalized keepsakes to use and show off to friends!
