In today's age of rapidly progressing technology, from AI to social media, it's easy to get lost in the endless void that is the internet. Recently, a “Go Analog” movement has shed light on ways to disconnect from the digital noise and connect with crafting as a way to get back in touch with the physical world!

AR Workshop

AR Workshop has fun crafting classes that are great for the whole family. Almost every day is a different class so be sure to check out their calendar and sign up for something fun!
Birdettes Tampa
- Location: 2710 N Florida Avenue, TampaÂ
Birdettes believes that trying a new form of art or craft should be accessible, affordable, and communal. They have a daily menu of art experiences, a monthly calendar of workshops, and different events that are sure to help you tap into your crafty side! Their shop is made up of artist-made small batch art kits, so it's a totally unique and down to earth experience that isn't mass produced!
Board & Brush Wesley Chapel
- Location: 4843 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Wesley Chapel
DIY your own wood sign or wood project at Board & Brush out in Wesley Chapel! This paint and sip experience has everything you need to create a masterpiece and take it home. They have a bunch of different wood classes available, including a charcuterie board, decorative welcome signs, flower boxes, and more!
Bottom of the Bin Art Supplies

This unique spot sells secondhand art and crafting supplies! They're focused on keeping art accessible and affordable while reducing waste. From paper crafts to painting, sewing, and jewelry making, Bottom of the Bin is a great spot to hit before an at-home crafting date night!
Color Me Mine

Another place to splash some paint is at Color Me Mine. Pick a ceramic piece (they even have some summer designs) and let your creativity take the wheel!

If you can dream it, you can DIY it at DIY Room Tampa! From DIY perfumes to candles, doormats, painting, and more, the possibilities to create a nearly endless!
Drip Ybor
- Location: 1620 E 7th Ave., Tampa
Drip Ybor takes crafting to a more intricate level with pottery throwing, wheel classes, clay hand building and hands-on mosaic art! If you're looking for a simple route, you can also paint ceramics. They provide everything you need for a crafty-good time!

Hammer & Stain offers workshops and DIY Hammer @ Home Kits if you're looking for the ultimate cozy crafting date night! They offer seaglass, mosaics, wood, resin, floral, and ceramic workshops that are perfect for disconnecting from the world.
Knot the Point

Knot the Point Needleworks is a full service needlepoint boutique with hand painted canvases, fibers, stitching accessories, and classes! They also host open stitch every Thursday from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. or 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
Miss Anita’s Crafts
- Location: 11811 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa
If your little ones are into crafting, this is the perfect place to be! Miss Anita's Crafts offers cake decorating, painting, doll making, and paper crafts. No experience is necessary, as there will be a teacher to guide the way!
Morean Arts Center
- Location: 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Morean Arts Center is connecting people with art by offering an array of different workshops for all ages! Glassmaking, jewelry making, are just a few of the mediums they offer.
Pour Me Amore
- Location: 3906 E 11th Ave., Tampa
Make your own candle at Pour Me Amore! They'll have everything you need to make the perfect-smelling candle, just pick your scents and get to pouring. Don't worry if you've never made a candle before, they'll teach you!
Keep a lookout for their Gather & Graze Night, where you can snack on charcuterie and get creative.

Known as Tampa's first ever scrapbooking specialty store, this emporium offers classes for specific techniques like watercoloring and paper crafting. Their experienced teachers will guide you every step of the way!
Sew Pinellas
- Location: 5601 Haines Road, St. Petersburg
It's all in the name at Sew Pinellas! This cool educational sewing spot can teach you everything you need to know from basic stitches to more intricate clothing and home decor designs. They offer private lessons as well as a multitude of classes to help your sharpen your skills!
Sugar Cream Clay
- Location: 2939 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
This clay studio is what 90's dreams are made of! Paint your perfect piece, whether it's a bowl, mug, flower vase, or any of their other offerings. Take your time, relax, and paint something totally cool! If you're looking to get a little more involved, they offer private pottery wheel classes that are perfect for beginner and experienced throwers!
Sunshine Needlepoint

Sunshine Needlepoint sits right in Ybor, and it's absolutely one of the cutest shops! From the name, they specialize in needlepoint crafting with a BUNCH of designs, threads, loops, and everything else you could possibly need to make some of the coolest needlepoint designs. Sunshine also offers a Needlepoint 101 Class if you're just beginning your journey!

The Tuft Spot in Riverview

Alright, how about making your own rug?! Sign us up! At The Tuft Spot you can book a workshop and make a custom rug! Just book a spot and email over your design, then get to work on tufting and get ready to take it home. Don't worry, they have instructors and provide you with all the supplies!

Heights Craft Club hosts themed meetups every third Saturday of the month!
