Honors to Mothers Around the World Statue Open House | Sunday, May 8 from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm
From the City of Tampa: The iconic and historic sculpture titled Honors to Mothers of the World (Honramos Dia de las Madres) is now on display to the public once again after being professionally treated and relocated by art conservators to its new site at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. Created in 1930 by Cuban artist T. Ramos Blanco, the sculpture, originally commissioned by the Orden Caballero de las Luz, a Cuban fraternity was donated to the City, and dedicated on Mother’s Day in 1948.
The Open House will be held at the Children’s Board located at 1002 E. Palm Avenue in Tampa.
