Halloween Day Trick-or-Treating Events in Tampa Bay:
Since many neighborhoods still have lingering debris from the hurricanes, there are some safer alternatives for trick-or-treating in Tampa Bay!
Jeep or Treat
- Wednesday, October 30 from 4 pm-8 pm

There will be Halloween decorated jeeps, treats for the little monsters, and contests for the best decorated jeep and best costume.

For the first time in years, you can celebrate Halloween at the Hillsborough County Fair! Kids (and their parents) are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy a fun-filled, safe night of Trick-or-Treating throughout the Fair on opening night.
The excitement doesn’t stop there — everyone can join the Costume Contest, where four exciting categories will be judged across four age groups from 0 to 18 and beyond. The fun begins when the gates open at 5 pm. Opening night admission is only $2 per person courtesy of Hungry Howie’s.
Kandy’s Sweetacular at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

This all-new event will feature fun activities for all ages, including Kandy’s Sweetacular Celebration at the Festival Walkway, where guests can step into a world of enchantment and not-so-spooky Halloween fun. Capture the perfect fall moment at an assortment of autumn-themed photo spots scattered throughout the park! Go trick or treating, participate in the Sweetacular Costume Parade, go on a Jack-O-Lantern Scavenger Hunt, and party at Taffy Twist’s Black Cat Dance Party! You can also join Professor Pufflemintz for Spooky Kooky Science and settle down for story time with Kandy.
Halloween Spookquarium at Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Enjoy family-friendly fun at CMA with trick-or-treat stations from 3 pm- 5 pm, costume contests, a haunted trail, ghoulish games and activities, and specially-themed food and refreshments. Trick-or-Treating will also be available during Aqua Lanterns on Halloween night from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm.

Bring your little ones to Armature Works this Halloween to trick or treat in the Heights Public Market! Vendors inside the market will be handing out candy to the kids from 4 pm-6 pm.

Bring the little ones out for an evening in the park at Walter Fuller Rec Center! They’ll have a trunk or treat area, treat stations in limited areas of the park, a food truck corral, live DJ, and kid’s activities.

8th Annual Trick or Treat on the Riverwalk in Tampa
- Date: October 26, 2024 from 4 pm-7 pm
- Location: Downtown Tampa Riverwalk

Trick-or-treating on the Riverwalk is back. This is a FREE community event! Children in costume and their families are invited to come and trick or treat along the Riverwalk as well as enjoy fun activities. We will have over 50 treat stations participating along the Riverwalk starting at Water Works Park and ending at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
Fall-O-Ween at Coachman Park
- Date: Friday, October 25, 2024 from 3 pm-10 pm
- Location: Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., Clearwater

Head to Coachman Park for tons of Halloween fun! The Candy Trail will open at 3 pm, along with food, beer, and wine vendors, a live DJ, and family-friendly activities. At 6:30 pm, there will be a costume contest on The Green. At 7:30 pm, catch a screening of “Casper” on the lawn on the BayCare Sound and at 8 pm, Swifites can sing along to LOVE STORY, a Taylor Swift tribute band performing on The Green.
Trick-or-Treat Trail at Largo Central Park

- Cost: Free for the first 1,500 kids on sight (under 12)
Bring your kiddos dressed in their Halloween costumes for a night of trick-or-treating around Largo City Hall. Bags and candy will be provided. This is an outdoor event.
Downtown Trick-or-Treating in Dunedin
- Date: Friday. October 25, 2024, from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
- Location: Downtown Dunedin along Main Street and Broadway Avenue
- Cost: Free to attend
The City of Dunedin and the Downtown Merchants Association are closing down the main streets so families can safely go trick-or-treating along Main Street and Broadway Avenue. Merchants will be giving out candy and trinkets
5th Annual Spooky Stroll with TRIBE Seminole Heights
- Date: Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 6 pm-9 pm
- Location: Seminole Heights Garden Center, Tampa
- Cost: $3 per person
This beloved annual event will sell out fast, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance to secure your spot. TRIBE Seminole Heights’ Spooky Stroll features tons of family-friendly fun including costumed characters, trick-or-treat stations, a pumpkin patch, a creepy house tour, fun games, and MORE! In the past, it has taken about 60-90 minutes to complete the stroll.
Guppyween at the Florida Aquarium

- Cost: Museum admission. Children in costume get in for free with one paid adult.
Guppyween returns to the Florida Aquarium for a weekend filled with Halloween-themed activities, trick-or-treating, animal encounters, costumed divers, and even underwater pumpkin carving!
The sensory-friendly event will feature lights, sounds, and activities adapted accordingly throughout the event for individuals with differences. $10 per guest and free for members.

22 blocks are closed to cars and motor vehicles from noon-5 pm for this this family event will be filled with a parade of costumes, street performers, entertainment, and tons of Halloween fun!
Trunk-or-Treat at the Salvation Army in St. Pete

The Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society is hosting a haunted trail at the park along with a costume contest, live music and treats as an alternative to trick-or-treating! But be warned – it can be very scary! For those who aren’t quite ready for all the frights, the little ones can enjoy the Enchanted Woods on Saturday the 19th from 2 pm-6 pm ($5 entry).
Halloween Happenings at Highlander Park
