Awesome Places to Go Trick-or-Treating this Halloween in Tampa Bay

If you’re not up for trick-or-treating in your neighborhood…or even want to snag some treats before Halloween, there are some SPOOKtacular events happening throughout October, including some huge outdoor trick-or-treating events on Halloween weekend!

Here are some of the biggest trick-or-treating events in Tampa Bay:

Halloween Harvest at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay 

• Dates: Saturdays and Sundays September 7-November 4, 2024
• Location: Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, 10165 McKinley Drive, Tampa
• Cost: Included with theme park admission

This all-new event will feature fun activities for all ages, including Kandy’s Sweetacular Celebration at the Festival Walkway, where guests can step into a world of enchantment and not-so-spooky Halloween fun. Capture the perfect fall moment at an assortment of autumn-themed photo spots scattered throughout the park! Go trick or treating, participate in the Sweetacular Costume Parade, go on a Jack-O-Lantern Scavenger Hunt, and party at Taffy Twist’s Black Cat Dance Party! You can also join Professor Pufflemintz for Spooky Kooky Science and settle down for story time with Kandy. And of course, enjoy all the Halloween fun with your favorite Sesame Street characters at the Sesame Street Character of Fun Halloween!

Brick or Treat Monster Party at LEGOLAND Florida

• Dates: Weekends September 14-October 27, 2024
• Location: LEGOLAND Florida, 1 LEGOLAND Way, Winter Haven
• Cost: Included with daily admission

Enjoy a Halloween party built just for kids at LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven. Kids can enjoy spooky LEGO building activities, trick-or-treating at MORE candy stations than ever before, NEW character meet-and-greets, and MORE.  

Trick-or-Treat Trail at Largo Central Park

• Date: October 25, 2024, 5:30 pm
• Location: Largo Central Park, 201 Highland Ave, Largo, FL
• Cost: Free for the first 1,500 kids on sight (under 12)
  

Bring your kiddos dressed in their Halloween costumes for a night of trick-or-treating around Largo City Hall. Bags and candy will be provided. This is an outdoor event. 

Downtown Trick-or-Treating in Dunedin

• October 25, 2024 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
• Location: Downtown Dunedin along Main Street and Broadway Avenue
• Cost: Free to attend

The City of Dunedin and the Downtown Merchants Association are closing down the main streets so families can safely go trick-or-treating along Main Street and Broadway Avenue. Merchants will be giving out candy and trinkets

7th Annual Trick or Treat on the Riverwalk in Tampa and Lighted Boat Parade

• Date: October 26, 2024 from 4 pm-7 pm
• Location: Downtown TampaRiverwalk
• Cost: FREE

Trick or treating on the Riverwalk is back where kids and their families can visit 50 different treat stations while enjoying other fun activities.

Halloween Happenings at Highlander Park

• October 26, 2024 from 5:30 pm-9:30 pm
• Location: 903 Michigan Blvd, Dunedin
• Cost: $5 Hayride tickets, $10 wristband for activities (excludes Haunted Hayride)

Highlander Park is hosting a night of Halloween and trunk-or-treat fun for the whole family! There will be haunted hayrides, carnival games, Boo in the Zoo, bounce houses, and more. Parking is $5.

5th Annual Spooky Stroll with TRIBE Seminole Heights

• Date: October 26, 2024, from 6 pm-9 pm
• Location: Seminole Heights Garden Center, Tampa
• Cost: $3 per person 

This beloved annual event will sell out fast, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance to secure your spot. TRIBE Seminole Heights’ Spooky Stroll features tons of family-friendly fun including costumed characters, trick-or-treat stations, a pumpkin patch, a creepy house tour, fun games, and MORE! In the past, it has taken about 60-90 minutes to complete the stroll.

Halloween on Central in St Pete 2024

• Dates: October 27, 2024 from noon-5:00 pm
• Location: Central Ave in St. Pete between MLK and 31st St S
• Cost: Free

22 blocks are closed to cars and motor vehicles from noon-5pm for this this family event will be filled with a parade of costumes, street performers, entertainment, and tons of Halloween fun! 

Trunk-or-Treat at the Salvation Army in St. Pete

• October 29, 2024 from 6 pm-8:30 pm
• Location: 3800 9th Avenue North, St. Pete
• Cost: $5 for kids ages 4 and up

The Salvation Army of St. Pete is hosting a trunk-or-treat on Halloween-Eve along with other fun family-friendly activities including food trucks, games, inflatables, and more!

South Seminole Frights Trail of Treats!

• October 31, 2024, from 6 pm-8 pm
• 579 W. Osborne Ave., Tampa
• Cost: Included with daily admission

Bring the whole family to enjoy a safe and festive trick-or-treating experience! Local families will be setting up themed tables along a designated path, each offering candy to trick-or-treaters. Come dressed in your best Halloween costumes and enjoy a night of treats, decorations, and Halloween spirit!

Halloween Spooktacular at Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Clearwater

• Location: 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater
• Cost: Included with daily admission

Families can experience this CMA-themed Halloween event with trick-or-treat stations, spooky decorations, and more! This is a great alternative to Halloween night trick-or-treating in a neighborhood.

Trick-or-Treat at Armature Works in Tampa

• Location: 1910 N Ola Avenue, Tampa
• Cost: Free to attend

For a fun night out with the family, add Armature Works to your list on Halloween evening for a night of trick-or-treating in the Heights Public Market, and then stick around for some dinner. Since it’s a school night, this event is perfectly timed.

BooBash with the Clearwater Threshers in Clearwater

• Cost: Free to attend

The Clearwater Threshers are hosting their BooBash for a night of ghoulishly good fun on Halloween night! There will be 25 trick-or-treat stations, hay rides, a costume parade, and more!

Trick-or-Treat at Citrus Park Mall in Tampa

• Cost: Free to attend

Too hot outside? Why not head to Citrus Park Mall for some indoor trick-or-treating with the kids and then do a little shopping while you’re there. There is also a chance to win a spooky giveaway–a $100 gift card for the mall.

Halloween Spooktacular at Tampa Premium Outlets in Lutz

Dress in your Halloween best for an evening of mall-wide trick-or-treating, a live DJ, games, contests, and more!

Mall-O-Ween at Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey

If you’re in the Port Richey area, stop into Gulf View Square Mall for indoor trick-or-treating. There will be a photo booth, fun activities, and more.

Tampa Bay History Center’s A Night at the Museum

• Cost: Ticket prices: $16.95 for adults; $14.95 for college students; $14.95 for seniors (60+); $12.95 for children and youth (4-17); free for children ages 0-3. History Center members receive a 15% discount.
